Ok I have bypassed the headphone amp, made the signal hotter into emax. Sounds perhaps a bit better. (uploaded try2: https://soundcloud.com/paplusse/sets/emax-sampling-noise-problem) I know it sounds like a digital noise, but I can't hear it from the RME UFX soundcard. It is very clear when i stop the playback early and keep emax sampling, then when emax stops sampling the noise stops (the recording carries on a little) Also at the begining i retriggered the sample to make you hear the nearly flanged type sound i get, with slightly different sound on every trigger. At first i though the chorus was on or that the sample was on 2 voices playing together, but chorus is off, and i don't master yet the emax 2 voice architecture, but on a menu quick tour, i couldn't see anything abnormal. Could the emax generate that digital noise? Would that be AD/DA conversion problem? How do you guys monitor your emax input? Thanks for your time guys. dave --- In emax@yahoogroups.com, krikor kouchian wrote: > > yes i didn't see that > sure don't use the headphone amp to sample in the emax! > > Le mardi 15 janvier 2013, Human Being a crit : > > Take the headphone amp out of the equation and post the results.
