Emax

It could be the IC, or the other components in the midi / serial circuit as
this is shared.
You don't have MIDI and serial both hooked up at same time, correct? (that
doesn't work).

Have you tried regular MIDI transfer / data commands (no EmuSer) and
verified it works?
If MIDI doesn't work, then that would give greater possibility that the
circuit has a problem.
