I have some unexpected but good news. I was inside the EMAX looking at the hard drive and going over what I needed to do when I noticed that the hard drive still had power. I followed the 3-wire power connector back to a connector on the power board. I believe that this connector was loose or had some gunk in there because when I disconnected it and cleaned it out, the hard drive started working again. What a great sound, (like a mini garbage truck.) Thanks for all of the pointers.
