Yeah, I've always heard that the Prophet 2000 was a great sampler, but lost in the
downfall of Sequential Citcuits.
I know my OB-8 has CEM filters, but unfortunately you can't run an external source
through them. I guess I never realized the Emax contained traditional 4-pole 24dB low
pass filters using the SSM2047 combined VCF/VCA chip. I had always believed them to
be CEM. So the SP1200 is SSM as well, the only CEM unit is the EIII??? Regardless of
my error the SSM filters still have better presence and a warmer sound than the Emax
II's DSP filters, that's for sure :)
