HI, All,
I joined but have not participated, as I have not played my emax for many
years, but thinking of pulling it out again.
I am not familiar with softworx, but I do recall that when I made "song
disks" where I'd have the os plus a supermodemap on a disk, I woiudl choose
the disks I wanted to take sounds from, and one by one, I'd load the sounds
into the song disk.
I do not recall the way I did this but I'd start with a nearly empty
supermode map/os disk, then switch floppies, to one with a soundbank I wanted,
and using one of the commands, load a sound bank into the memory.
After loading all the banks I wanted (I'd then save everything in the
memory to the floppy. (I did not have any HD, just the emax se)
I am wondering if that method might allow you to hear sounds that are on a
disk with a differnent os?

Hi ,
I have an Emax SE , it has the SCSI which I use with a zip drive , the Emax
is using OS 1.0 , works fine. I have some original SoftWorx disks that I
would like to hear on my Emax.
The problem is that I can not format them to run on my Emax. In the
'Master' section, there is no way to copy the OS on to a floppy that doesn't have
the same OS. If there is a way, then I don't know how. When I try to play
the SoftWorx disk, display says 'different revision' .
How do I format the SoftWorx disk to the 1.0 OS ?
Thanks for the help.
