Warning Sound Memory Size Error

Warning Sound Memory Size Error

2015-01-25 by Kirk@...

I'm getting the "Warning Sound Memory Size Error" from my Emax II.

It's a 8 Meg with HD, it was working fine until recently. I went to the Master 9,9 menu and did the 1 RAM test and it always passes, and the 2 GRAM test passes. I did both test multiply time and they pass every time.

When I do the Master 2 Memory Remaining test, I get 0524244. So not it thinks it has 1 Meg!

Is this the dreaded "scrambled megs" issue? Is there anyway to recovery my 8 megs status? Do I need to buy a code from EPR for this?

Thanks, Kirk

Had the same happen to me when I got the ram upgrade.
After removing the Ram board, cleaning the connector witb Deoxit and reinstalling, it worked fine after.
Sometimes dust gets in somehow.

A scrambled megs procedure is in the files section….(I don't know if it works)

You can try that too- worst that happens is it doesn't work. best is that it does and you are out no money…
