Hi My emax said it got a timeout on the RS422 port test. Does this mean there is something wrong in the emax, or is it because the mac isn't connected? --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. OK, it seems my mac doesn't have midi manager or OMS installed. I think I found the problem... Ed

OK, The RS422 test was normal, you need some connector to connect some of the pins to run the test (thanks emulator archive for the diagnostics manual!) I installed midi manager 2.02 into my mac, and it went through this process off adding extentions and one control panel - Serial chooser. But when I try to open serial chooser it says something like this option does not work on this macintosh. I think this is an OS issue. I am running 7.5.1, I can upgrade it to 7.6.1, but I am not sure if this will work either. Is anyone using alchemy with the emax, or just midi from a mac running either 7.5 or 7.6.1 ? THere is some software that I can get to get it to run 8.1, but I am hoping I can pull it off with 7.6.1 Any input greatly appreciated. Thanks Ed
