copy protected disk?

copy protected disk?

2004-08-04 by sindelfing

Hello,
I have an old program from 1995 for Atari.
Its called Wavemax from Soft Arts
Its a Voice-synthesis program for Emu systems Emax 2
Its also a full remote sysex-editor for Emax 2,you can control all
parameters from the Emax on the Atari...and lots more

I BOUGHT this program.
I need to make a backup copy from it ,because the disk is getting old.
But all my copied disk -images ,dont work.
it says""please insert original disk""
How do i make a disk-image (or copy) from a protected disk?

Soft Arts are long gone now,and i want to use this program for a very
long time.

What software do i need?...Thanks
Ron

You need to get a copy of Disk Image probably off the internet. Make sure
its the dos version. It makes an exact replica of your old disk (kind of like a
snapshot) Then you can save the identical image to a blank floppy. Make sure
youre in the Dos Mode; not in windows.
Hope you find the program. Bill

There are copy utilities that came with special cables
to the Atari floppy drives. These are supposed to be
able to copy just about any floppy (so they say)

I hope to do a SIG on these at the Abacus Computer
Club meeting in December.

Perhaps we could try to copy it for you then?

Bob
