Sampling .wav from PC

Sampling .wav from PC

2004-10-11 by hartmaan2003

Hi everyone,
I have read the manual for my EmaxII so know the procedure. But any
tips on sampling from .wav files. I have a bunch....well 40 vintage
instruments samples in Akai format (basically an .akp file and 3 or
more .wavs in zip format)They are named with there keynotes. So is it
a very hard task to make these work well in the EmaxII after auto
looping etc?

P.S They are already normalised and loop prepped samples.

Thanks in advance

Hi,

I recently downloaded several .wav files from the internet. I then simply sampled them onto the drive via rca cable on one side to miniplug on the other side with a 1/4" adapter. If you dont have a stereo cable/adapter, you can create a stereo file by pulling the plug out slightly(of the samlpe input) until you notice both channels of the sample volume registering. otherwise you will wind up with a left or right side only sample.
Anyway the samples sound quite good. I had to adjust the sample volume levels and do it a couple times, but I managed some good usable presets.

hope this helps, Antony West
