Emax II Memory Chip Upgrades

Emax II Memory Chip Upgrades

2005-03-19 by Daniel J Litwin

Hello,

I recently purchased the 2MB memory upgrade kit which includes the
daughterboard (new-old-stock). It comes with the "special" upgrade
disk.

Can anyone tell me the memory specs of the chips? I want to see if
I can get the board maxed out to 8mb without spending another $250.
I was thinking Jameco or JDR Microdevices might carry the correct
SRAM if I new the specs.

Also, I am going to try to make a copy of the "magic" disk using EMX
on the PC. If successful, I will upload to the files section.

I'll keep you posted.

Dan

if you are going to try and make a disk image I'd suggest using the CopyQM in the Files
Section. I think it's a more reliable disk imager.
