emax emergency pls someone help my baby

2005-06-21 by Andy

ok, i have an emax hd with teh SE software. no hard drive just a zip,
i can't remember if it has a fan or not inside it but there does not
appear to be one running, when i turned it on today it just started to
give me dollar signs and somewhat random letters on the lcd for the
first like 20 bars or so, the os is still there and seems to be
working, but only the first 3 letters of any commands
example:

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Loa
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$B00 A

meaning the load bank screen set to zero
what the hell happened?

Are you booting from floppy? Try a new OS disk or a different disk to boot from. it might just be a corrupted disk. Disconnect the zip if it;s external.
