Advice on default 'Orig' when placing a Sample

Advice on default 'Orig' when placing a Sample

2006-05-03 by philip1141

Hello everyone,

I have an EMAX II keyboard and have created presets of vocal samples.
I've placed them over a range of notes using the 'lo' and 'hi'
settings and everything's great. However, when I load the same preset
into a different EMAX II keyboard the range is the same but it sounds
different; the same note can be heard by playing 'C' on the first EMAX
and 'G' on the second. I've tried using the transpose function but
this changes the whole keyboard and not just the sample range.

I'm wondering if there is a default setting (for the 'orig') that can
be adjusted but haven't found it. Any ideas?

Cheers, Phil.

Phil, I just tried this with two of my Emax-II samplers but everything
seems fine. The C on the first Emax-II sounds exactly the same as the C
on the second Emax-II.

What happens when you save the original sampled bank again on the
second Emax and reload this copied bank on the first (sampling) Emax ?

If you create EMX images of these two banks (original & copy), and
compare these files (e.g. by using Ucomp), does the compare-tool report
differences between the two files ?
