Looking for lots of Drum Samples!

Looking for lots of Drum Samples!

2006-04-28 by peter_vh01

Hey guys,

Looking to get ahold of a bunch of drum samples for an emax 1.
Specifically a TR-909 and 808 would be great, but I'm looking to find
a whole bunch more than that.

Where can I download some? Or, if anyone has some, please please
please e-mail them to me!

Thanks,

- Peter

there's standard sets of 808 and 909 samples on the net available as
wave files.

Download them, then play them out of your soundcard (assuming you have
an OK soundcard) into the emax's sampling input.

You can also avoid the sampling process by creating EMX images from
the WAV files directly
Use WAV2EMAX, you can find this program in the files section.
Then put the images on floppy with EMX or EMXP.

I think I have original TR808 EMAX banks, if I find them I will
upload the images to the files section.

Re: Looking for lots of Drum Samples!

I've copied an EMAX-II image with some TR808-samples to the files
section:
http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/emax/files/EMX%20images/

It's in EMAX-II (16-bit) format though. I converted it to EMAX-I, but
the sound quality after converting was not very good, so I decided to
post the original one.

If you want an EMAX-I compatible version anyway, I will post it or
email it to you.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
