I bought new-old-stock one early this year to place into my S900. I found the vendor thru google. If I can find the receipt, I'll give you the store name. But try google. I just a few minutes ago saw two or three vendors that had the drive for sale. --- In emax@yahoogroups.com, "synthmdl76" <synthmdl76@...> wrote:

Found this on http://www.silveriafamily.com/emax/emax_repair.html#fd Floppy Drive: the DS/DD floppy drive of the Emax and Emax II is not a standard PC floppy drive. Orginal drives were made by NEC, but later models have a Mitsubishi Full Height 3.5" MF353B - 12 UJ or MF353BA - 12U. The main difference here is that they can have their ID# set to 0 where standard drives nowadays are hardset to ID1. Your best source for replacement floppy drives is Route 66 Studios. They also offer blank DS/DD diskettes $11 for 50. A floppy drive out of a Mac Classic will usually work as well. route 66 can be found here http://www.hometown.aol.com/mishon66/Drives1.html So Which emax got the Teac FD236HF-A529? I have a Emax SE that the drive some times wont eject, did that have the Teac drive as standard? and whats the -A529 stand for? The teac site lists it just as a FD235HF Graham --- In emax@yahoogroups.com, "msjones4th" <mjones4th@...> wrote: > > I bought new-old-stock one early this year to place into my S900. Although not the same drive, I recently replaced the floppy drive on my EIII keyboard. I called Teac: DSPD Parts Department: voice: (323) 727-4840 fax: (323) 727-7632 e-mail: parts@... http://www.teac.com/DSPD/catalog.htm Only thing I had to do was set the correct boot strap, think it was two jumpers. Got a brand new drive with bezel, was under $40 --- grahampreston2 <grahampreston2@...> wrote: > Found this on > http://www.silveriafamily.com/emax/emax_repair.html#fd > > Floppy Drive: the DS/DD floppy drive of the Emax and > Emax II is not a > standard PC floppy drive.
