Hello Josef,
They won't run under osX..neither Os9...they are too recent.
You have to get and old mac with an OS 7.5 (don't remember with os8??)
Let us know if you happend to run one of these softs.

I am using alchemy with my emax hd se plus on a powermac 8600 and on a 9600/They are 604e processors before the g3's.With a drive I have os 7.5 on, works like a champ to look at samples and send to emax. You can use your favorite sound editor and send them to the emax via rs422. It's a mini fairlight?

I had used the Alchemy on a Beige G3 and it seemed to work on on OS
8.1.... of course- it wasnt the cracked version, it was original.
That may make a difference...

Hello,

There is a point I don't remember : was it necessary to have a midi
connexion in parallel of the Rs 422 ?
Or was the Rs 422 working alone ?

One or the other, the emax can't use both at the same time, if I
remember correctly....

Thanks
Thierry

The cable should be the same. I don't have an Emax II, but it is an
RS422 (mac port) to RS232 (Emax / pc) style port. So that shouldn't
change from one model to another....

Thanks,
Ted
