Greetings !

Hello and thanks for letting me join this group. I just bought an Emax
SE HD with a dead hard drive and no software. I replaced the old 20Mb
hard drive with a 52Mb Quantum scsi drive - it is working great.

Is there a good tutorial for sampling and tweaking sounds? I have no
experience with samplers - my other keyboard is a Kawai K1-II.

Thanks

Phil

Hello,
I was given an EMU Emax Special edition with 300+ discs. As
I am going thru the discs many are reading Error and not loading. Has anyone
have tricks and tips for this sampler?
Also, were can I get new sounds? I am new to this machine so I am learning
it as I go

There are a couple of sites for disk images.... and then you use EMXP
(XP) or EMX(DOS) to make the disks.....

EMXP /EMX available in the group files.
OS images in the files.

Disk images at:
http://dragonslair.ca/
http://www.seib.synth.net/emax/fds/zd700720.htm

Though some are missing. So if you have a disk number not available
for download, please try the disk first, as you might have a good
disk that we (as a group) are missing!

regards,
Ted

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
