New blue backlight but now broken characters

New blue backlight but now broken characters

2008-08-24 by Rei

Hi.

I just installed a brnd new backlight and did everything I was supposed to. I took away the
old one and installed the new one using electric tape. When I powered up the emax the back
light works but the character are missing a few lines and pixels.

Is that a failure backlight? or a failure installation? :s

Any suggestions?

Thanx

The LCD glass has been mis-aligned with the PC board. Usually there is a metal frame
holding the glass to the board, try shifting it a little bit.

Yes, that is what I thought.

The guy at Telesis was very childish at me when I asked him what to do, besides he didn't
sned me the CD with the instructions and I even paid for it. Basically everything is
common sense but after I asked him for the CD data he didn't reply again. He left me with
the problem and blaming me while I wasn't blaming anybody.

My suggestion... do not make business with that people. Starting with their crappy web
site, their service is the same.

Thanks hams. Lets put everything apart again :s
