Maybe looking to sell Emax 1 ????

Maybe looking to sell Emax 1 ????

2009-08-04 by Simon_Owen

Hi Folks

Bit of a dilemma here. I love having lots of kit in my studio, especially old gear such as the Emax, but i now think it's time for a rethink.

I've got my Emulator II, which i mainly use for any sampling purposes. I find the Emax quite cold sounding when compared to the EII, and quite honestly, the EII is a beautiful looking and classic piece of kit, which i'll never get rid of.

I've also got my ESI-32, which i rarely use. I've managed to download the Emax II banks for this, so all of my Emax stock sounds that i liked are available there if needed.

Which leaves me with an Emax which i really never use for the purpose it's intended for. It's mainly used as a keyboard controller, and because of the ability to send it's arpeggiator out via midi, it's got its use there too.

So, if you were me, what would you do ? Sell your trusty "Max" or keep as something to use on the rare occasions.

Cheers

Simon

The emax as a controller alone makes it worth keeping.
