sample memory and sequences

sample memory and sequences

2002-08-12 by anthony wilson

Hi

i have noticed that when i fill my emaxII with presets that the sequencer no
longer records anything i play, i heard that the sequencer stores
information in the same place as it stores sample data, is this true, if so
is there anyway round it (apart from getting more memory!) This is quite a
limitation if you only have 2mb to play with! I would like to upgrade the
memory but unfortunatly the upgrade kits they sell from sound logic require
the emaxII to have the expansion daughter board which i dont have, does
anyone know where i could get one from?

Cheers

Anthony

Hi Anthony,

Well, I think the best place to find a daughterboard would be to search
eBAY or put an ad in a major newspaper. I think that would be your best
bet.

It's a shame EMU dosen't support the Emax II line anymore.

No Prob I understand.

What I don't understand is Cubase! I've already got
my feet wet with Pro Tools and a good friend of mine
runs his own production and recording biz out of his
home with LE and it seems to work great.

Maybe if I took some time with it. But I've already
got the mac so off into protools land I go.

Thanks!
