help needed, i have a emax II and im trying to get it to run... any
advise would be great, its dead. i bought it with a missing power
supply. so i hooked up a atx psu which supplys
"12v +" & "12v -" & "5v +" and the unit just shows three led lights
on and no responce or text on screen.

i looked at the boards and the main board does look alittle
rusted/corrosion.. does anyone know about these boards. also im not sure
if the board that goes on top of the main board is extra memory?

anyway if anyone can give me some advise, that would be great. or better
yet if anyone is selling boards.... that would be great

all my pictures can be found here.

The extra board is the memory expansion
You need +5 +12 and Ground from the PSU.

On the Emax harness.....
Green is ground on
Orange is +12
Yellow is +5

The transformer in pic 11 is the 300V inverter for the EL backlight of
the LCD display. If that is out, the display will be barely visible
or impossible to read.

But check your power wiring first.

Regards.
Ted

have you connected the poer cables correctly purple -12 yellow +12 and orange 5v if i remember rightly

check the 5v supply to the lcd to make sure you are getting 5v with out it the lcd will not show any digits

also is the back light comming on as this circuit is also feed by the 5v supply that goes through a switching transister and a up transformer for the high voltage ac for the el foil
