New version of EMXP with Emax sample transfer support via MIDI and RS422

2010-08-22 by esynthesist

Hi all

I've released the latest version 2.09 of EMXP.
The most important new feature is sample transfer (or WAV transfer...) via MIDI and RS422 to/from the Emax-I and Emax-II.
There are also some small optimizations, mainly in the user interface area and Emax conversion area. No GUI yet ! (the GUI will probably never make it :-)

As usual the software can be found in the EMXP folder of this group's files section, or on the EMXP website http://www.emxp.net

Also as usual, the software is still for free.

PS: I'm checking now how to create an alternative USB/RS422 device (smaller, even cheaper) and if I succeed perhaps (!!) I will even build some of them for shipping to Emax users.

Wow man,

I'm sure many of us remember when this was just a dream and we were clamoring for someone to make something that could create emx disks on a PC. You have gone so far beyond what we had originally hoped for and provided an incredibly useful tool and personally helped me with my own emax and a few friends who had no system disks etc.

A big THANK YOU and a round of applause for enhancing the usefulness of the emax samplers and making them more viable in these computer days.

Thanks man!

Ed

So great news!.

I think we have to request a square or street name called E-Synthesist.

I will try to check it soon.

I remember the day, long time ago, I bought a EmaxII in very poor physical condition, without a functional disk drive or diskette. And after restauration and repairing the diskdrive i still barely saw a chance to finally play these maschine

But then i found your software and a new life came to my e-mu.

Thank you very very much for this great software. And please keep up the good work.

regards
