The sounds are quite similar , apart of the special "warm" feeling when you play a sound on an Emax II, and of course if you don´t use any filter. If you use the Emax II filters, forget the ESI 32 to import the presets.
I use to sample everything in the Emax II and if don´t use the filter then import the presets in the ESI 32, with a common MO Fujitsu 230 Mb drive. I do that for piano sounds, long pads, etc, because my ESI32 is upgraded with 32 Mb, and I think the velocity is better than the Emax´s.
Regards.
Pedro.
P.D. Could anyone send me an O.S. disk for the Emulator III XP, I would send you Emax II Cds, or Emulator II or III disks library.
Thanks.

I haven't yet been able to load any EmaxII samples onto the EIIIXS (due to my
SCSI connector handicap I mentioned). Actually... I plan to grab a SCSI
adaptor from work this week and use it to load my samples via the Zip drive I
mentioned. I will post my impressions of the EmaxII samples played back on
EIIIXS to the list. I know the EIIIXS manual says that EmaxII samples will
take about twice as long to load on the EIIIXS.
Pedro, I'm curious what you are hearing from the ESI when it plays your
EmaxII sounds. What is the difference?
Also, is anyone else using EmaxII samples on another EMU system with good/bad
results?
thanks,
PF

Hello, how does the Emu III sound? It´s similar to the Emax II´s?
I have an ESI 32, which can read Emax II SCSI drives, but the sound is a
joke...
Regards.
Pedro.
