Burning EmaxII CD-ROMS, is this possible?

2002-08-27 by cjmazurus

I am a long-time Emax II devotee and have long wondered if you are
able to burn Emax II format CD-ROMS using some kind of utility, not
unlike the ChickenSys Translator (sp.?).

To me it would seem to be an enormous benefit to have close to 100
banks on 1 cd-rom for archival purposes, etc. Has this been
attempted, or much less, discussed?

Regards,
CJM

I'm sure someone here can clue you in on the exact steps, but I know it's possible to
make an image of an emax II SCSI device onto a CD-Rom. It requires burning softaware
that can make images regardless of whether they receognize the format or not.

Please take a look at this link http://www.emulatorarchive.com/Samplers/EmaxOverview/EmaxCDROM/emaxcdrom.html
I have been sucessful in burning CDROMS for Emax and Emax II using this procedure. Of course you will have to have a CDROM burner capable of translating ISO image files which I found is not the case for most newer CDRWs these days. I do beleive that you can find 3rd party software to support this though. You'll also find how to burn an EMU CDROM at this link
http://www.tweakheadz.com/CDR.html
where you can download the ISO image file maker called "DiskToFile"
I liked it so much I paid for the license. Feel free to ask more questions if you need to I may be able to answer them after you read these info links.
Good luck,
