Floppy Disk Database

Floppy Disk Database

2010-10-28 by designlord

Hey everyone,

I have created a database for stores to buy quailty floppy disks from. I created an entry and will continue to update it with results of the quality once I receive the disks and have a chance to use them.

My goal is to find a few consistant sources of quality disks and spread out the initial risk so we don't have to guess, only to have half or more die a weeks later because they are really old or just HD disks re-cased.

Hopefully this will be useful.

Patrick

Emax I SE Keyboard Floppy Drive

2010-11-02 by michael.a.padilla

I am the original owner of an Emax I SE keyboard. After 23 years the floppy drive has failed. I have had my technician remove the drive, complete with the bezel.

It seems a waste to just throw this part out as it seems the bezel, at least, is unique to the Emax. I would be pleased to give this part to whosoever may want it and pay for the shipping, rather than toss it, if it can possibly be refurnished or if any unique part of it can be salvaged.

Let me know.

Best wishes,

Michael Padilla

I just ordered an HXC2001 to test on my Emax II, prophet 2002, mirage and akai s950.

the sooner it gets here, the sooner I can start testing.
