EMAX II Memory upgrade. Strange happening!

Well, yesterday I plugged in 32 ICs into my 4mb turbo emax waiting for the adjust features codes by Richard Bruyn (eprelectronics.com)

I knew I have to wait for this code because only with it the emax will recognize the 4 extra mb.
And what did happen?:

3145684 wtf?! 

shocked but happy in the same way:

"only" 6 mb ... why that?! ... I didn't entered any code or something like that.

Do you have an idea ?

I guess one of the ICs is broken. How can I find out which one it is?

Hello again,
ok problem is solved. eprelectronics by Richard Bruyn is a very great service provider which were extremly helpful. If you need detailed help you have to check them.

Many years ago I bought a memory expansion card for my EmaxII keyboard, which came with 2mb, and I populated the card with another 4mb of ram I sourced online, but it would only recognize 4mb. I remember it came with some sort of initialization disc and an EPROM, that was only for the the extra 2mb that came with the board.

So does Richard Bruyn of eprelectronics have access to the initialization discs so that my EmaxII might recognize the full 8mb I have in it?  And what did he charge you? Intrigued...!

Maybe you need the EPROM? No idea...

Yes,
everything is great now ...8 mb !

You have to contact him. He'll explain you how to upgrade the memory..
