I have an emax II 2 MB keyboard version I buy a rack 8 MB and I want to recover the 8 Mb and placed in the keyboard 2 mb and put in the rack the main board is not compatible Between the keyboard and rack version the control panel and not the same what ic Which Holds the information ??

you are getting confused between the display board and the main board.. the main board holds the relevant ICs and is perfectly interchangeable between keyboard and rack ________________________________

well.. I have transplanted successfully.. the panel board doesn't even come into it ________________________________

Philippe: What are the symphtoms for a non starting?. Does the display show something?. Are voltages OK and stable on the power supply outputs? I agree with Chevy, both motherboards should be interchangeable, as long as the Sub CPU Scanner (IM386) contains the same programming code for both Keyboard and Rack versions (and as far as I remember, rack board also has the Keyboard male socket alreay installed).
