That's right..... finally i fixed my emax I many thanks to all the people (Ted, Jammie, among others) who post and give ideas and tips on how to isolate the fault...It was a faulty chip on the board next to the scanner chip, it was a real work to detect and remove it i am not a electronic technician (i am an industrial engineer) so it took many weeks to figure out on how to remove it, even trying on garbage boards to develop the skill. But now i have te reward the unit is working fine and sound like a thunder. again many thanks to all the good people at the forum!.

Congratulations!!!! I know that feeling well, and it is so great when others empower you to fix something you couldn't. I started learning how fix electronics exactly this way, people on the Internet, and now years later I have been able to help others.

Enjoy the emax , it's amazing!!!

Hi, do you know which chip was faulty, was it the PAL ones? i recapped the
PSU of the emac, it didn't help at all, so this must definitely be the same
problem.
how did you manage to identify the faulty one
best
