Emu2wav - How do I do?

Emu2wav - How do I do?

2002-12-09 by lasselakstrup <lasse@...>

I can't make the emu2wav-program work... can anybody give me a hint?
I tried just pulling a .em1 file into the program but it said "ERROR
in emu2wav: Sample rate not specified"

/Lasse

Have you read the read me text file?

Syntax: emu2wav input_filename samplerate

	e.g. emu2wav zd700.em1 39000

So for dummies that is: rename the file "emu2wav zdXXX.em1 39000" and
pull it into emu2wav? That's what I get out of it anyways, but it
still doesn't work. Keeps saying "sample rate not specified".
I'm getting kind of frustrated....

For dummies... the program wants two parameters. With your
push-pull-clickedidrag you only pass one parameter - the name of the
file you're pulling around.

Two possibilities for you...

1) learn the intricate details of using a command shell (strongly
recommended).

2) create a new file type "em1" in your Windows Explorer and use
  emu2wav %1 39000
as the default "open" action. No DDE. This allows you to simply
double-click on an .em1 file to convert it to a .wav.

Learn. Fast. Using a computer without knowing what it does and how is
like driving with both eyes shut.

yep, that's it!
