Emax Volume Midi Control

Emax Volume Midi Control

2002-12-16 by bjbearorl <bjbearorl@...>

I'm using my EMAX HD Rack with Pro Tools and I want to be able to
control the volume of the EMAX with Pro Tools. Where can I set the
volume to react to Pro Tools? What conroller number is volume
assigned to?

Any help, greatly appreciated!

I don't believe that the Emax implements MIDI volume change. At least in my Emax manual there is no listing on the MIDI implementation page.

This reply went straight to the original poster, thought I should send a copy to the group
as well.

I'm sorry to the say the Emax and Emax II do not respond to master volume control via
MIDI. The best you can do is assign each individual preset a controller number for
volume. But you would have to do it for every preset in Preset Definition. I think the ESI-
32 is the first to have global volume control. It can even accept volume control for each
individual channel in Multi Mode.
