Sample nr 3 could end up in Zone 1 and sample nr 20 in Zone 4 >etc. Does anybody know how samples should be named in order to load >correctly? Some time ago I wrote an AppleScript that converts numerals in filenames to note names (based on the midi convention where 0 = C-2, 1 = C#-2, etc). That way you can have the EXS "read root note from filename" (somewhere in the EXS Options), which will cause the samples to be mapped chromatically in the order you want. Obviously you don't want the samples to be mapped to e.g. C-2 to C-1, but to something like C3-C4. After using the script and importing the samples (which will map them to C-2 to C-1 if the filenumbers were 0-13), you can use the Key Command "move zones (incl. root note)" to quickly move all zones up in one go. Sounds more complicated than it is. If you're on a Mac, drop me a line in private mail and I'll send you the script. -- Hendrik Jan Veenstra h @ k n o w a r e . n l Omega Art: http://www.omega-art.com/
