I don't actually have a TDM system. But I have done some work recently for a client setting up his EXS 24 , the DTDM environment, and ESB plugin; so it was somewhat fresh in my mind at the time. At least the basics of it anyway :-) > First, Logic has 64 Audio Instruments available, and you can put ESX24s > on all of them (on DTDM auxes) *in addition to* the ones on DAE tracks. Good to know. I thought you needed a special TDM version of the EXS in order to run them directly on DAE tracks. > The other difference between TDM and DTDM EXS24s is that you also have > fewer channels when you use TDM objects. I knew the actual ESB/Direct Connect plugins were pretty DSP hungry. But I didn't know what kind of DSP was involved in running EXS's straight in your DAE/TDM mixer. Good to know it doesn't take up any extra DSP. I'll advise my client on this new found information. -- Eli Krantzberg Nightshift Orchestra / Almat Productions http://www.nightshiftorchestra.com
