We had a discussion about this awhile back, and to my knowledge it isn't 
possible to force EXS to place newly converted Giga samples anywhere but in 
the DLS-Giga Samples default folder in the Logic directory. I tried 
deleting the original and creating an alias on my sample storage drive, but 
Logic would automatically re-create the original and put the samples there 
every time. The samples can reside anywhere, of course, but you have to 
manually move or copy them after conversion.

If I'm wrong---and I hope I am---somebody please correct me.
