You need to make a folder called "DLS-Giga Samples" on the drive that you
want to store your samples then create an alias of this in your Logic
folder.
Hold down command+option as you drag the "DLS-Giga Samples" folder to your
logic folder for a quick way to make an alias.

This always used to work for me. I now use CDXtract or Translator to convert
Giga files so it's not necessary for me to have this folder anymore.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
