With Translator there is a latent feature where you can select multiple formats and it writes both of them while using the same samples. I don't know if it's functional anymore, this no one tends to use it, but I'll check today. Translator might also check the samples in the effort to rewrite them and if they are the same, simply not write them. Even so, those are good ideas, and if they aren't in there, I'll implement them. Even so, you could simply convert to both separately, manually delete one set of files using the Find feature, and do a Fix References on the "sample-less" format and it should be fine. On (normal) fast computers this shouldn't really take tons of time. It is a concern of you are dealing with lots of CD's on conversion, though. >Can I convert just the programs - how? Since there is information in the Akai samples that are needed in order to write certain fields of EXS, HALion, or Kontakt files, it is necessary to at least access them on the Akai disk to find out that information.
