the tascam is a great firewire device that can handle latency down to 2.33ms
maybe less. anything less than 10.00 ms is 'acceptable', 5 ms is 'great'.
(but this still depends on your computer and hd's).

monitoring via the tascam, you would hear the the dry vocal, to hear the wet
vocal you would have to 'monitor' via logic.

i monitor dry, but the vocalist may want his/her feeds to include reverb,
etc. if that's the case you'll have to monitor dry and wet (so that the
vocalist isn't under/overperforming based on her feed). remember, you can
always add processing (reverb, etc) later.
