EXS 24 Logic Sampler Users Group

Everyone,
In version 4.7 of Logic Audio/EXS-24, the option "Merge programs 
(same MIDI channel and program change number) into one EXS 
instrument" was added.

I just bought Quantum Leap Brass in the Akai 1000 format (only one 
supported by EXS), and they recommended that you merge several 
programs together (typically the ones that have a + next to them, 
like multiple trumpet instruments that are soft, louder, loud, etc).

However when the above option is checked, the EXS still doesn't merge 
those programs together (even when I import the whole cd). What this 
would force me to do is have 3 separate instruments, each for a 
different volume, each with a separate trumpet  volume sound. 
Ridiculous!!!!!

Am I doing something wrong here, or is there a bug/issue with the 
checkbox?
