Thanx Peter, Ned and Louis S.  for the prepared piano links, much 
appreciated!
I tried putting Luna (my cat) on the strings to dampen, but the 
shrieking and hissing ruined the purity of many
samples.
  (sorry it's been a long day :-)   )
