EXS 24 Logic Sampler Users Group

Hello
I am just now getting around to checking out my ESX24 (Logic 
Platinum PC 5.5.1) - I'm authorized for it, but when I try to choose 
one of the presets, Logic freezes (although my hard disk activity 
light goes as if the system is looking for something).  A few 
possible clues -

1.   I have ES1 help but no ESX24 help (under the Logic help menu) - 
could the intstall have screwed up?

2.  the ESX24 Instrument Editor window (under the audio menu) just 
shows a keyboard input screen but offers no commands/options to do 
anything - mystifying...

My machine is planety fast, lots of ram -
Help!

I can see the sample sounds in my directory, but they're .aif - does 
that matter?
