I've seen this happen too (although not on my system). A possible simpler
solution is to try and re-launch the audio engine from the audio hardware
and drivers preference page ( achieved by un-checking and the re-checking
the checkbox for the driver). Most times this will solve it and is easier
than manually reloading each instrument.
