Well, if you have a SCSI Drive, you will have to hook it up to the computer in some way. That makes it mandatory for the computer to have a SCSI Interface, so it can speak the language of the drive. There are USB->SCSI interfaces around; never used one so I don't know how well or if it works. If you have a desktop you can get a SCSI card; get an inexpensive one; say $50 or so. And get an appropriate cable to hook it up. If you have a notebook, get a PCIMIA SCSI card, if your notebook has PCMAIA ports. So as you see, there's plenty of options. But since this is a temporary thing, perhaps you should look to the "buddy pizza" system, where you find a friend that has what you want, and you ask him if you can borrow his system for a sec while you send out for pizza. On their system, you can simply make an image of the drive, burn it to CD/DVD, and move it back to your system. If it's larger than a CD/DVD, zip/stuff it, and split it into sections - I suggest WinRAR or MacRAR for this. The major conversion programs support reading image files as well as the actual drive; that's why this is possible. Garth Hjelte Sampler User
