It would indeed be helpful had Nicolas stated his reasons, and made his positive case for CD Xtract, for the benefit of the original poster. But is it really damaging, per say, to one person or company or product for an opinion to be expressed in praise of another?I saw no comments in the negative made about Translator in the post,so what harm has been done to Garth?
Furthermore,is it really neccesary for one to have full knowledge and experience of the products in a category to like the one you do know?I have used Logic and I have used Sonar.I have never used Digital performer or Cubase. If I say that I like Logic,in what way does my inexperience of DP defame that program,if I have not said anything about it at all?And how does my lack of hands-on knowlege of Cubase negate my favorable impression of Sonar,if I do not express it as a comparison?Or,to be literal, would one have had to use Translator in order to find CD Xtract's Emu-EXS conversions satisfactory?Do you really mean to say that one may not say "I like Fords" unless one has driven a Toyota, and that to do so defames Toyota? What nonsense.
Mr. Batzdorf,do you have any reason,or facts to prove your public opinion that Nicolas is actually slamming Garth and Chicken Systems, and whether he has or hasn't used Translator?Or if he has, whether CD Xtract or Translator did a better job for him?Based upon the evidence actually extant from his post, all I see is a CD Xtract fan who is guilty of nothing more than inadequate exposition of his thoughts.Message
