Hi Per, Sorry to disturb your Saturday night, but my new EXS version of the White Grand arrived today. I installed it. Immediately used Redmatica's EXSManager to fix all the file references so it wouldn't take a half hour to load and here is the result. I load it into a stereo instance of the EXS with Virtual Memory on so it streams and doesn't load the whole thing into memory. Even with EXSManager's corrections, it takes about a minute and a half to load. Still, there are a lot of big samples, so I will assume for now that this is normal. Now the shocker...all I hear on all notes is white noise. Whoosh whoosh whoosh. I click on edit and open up the EXS editor for the White Grand, randomly select a note to open it's zone parameters, click on it's assigned sample which quickly takes me to the original sample. In the ensuing dialog, I press the play button and the note sounds perfectly. I press the same corresponding note on my midi keyboard and get white noise. To be sure nothing else was going on, I trashed the logic prefs, checked out three or four other EXS instruments from my HD and all instruments played normally. I then repaired OSX Panther 10.3.3 permissions and rebooted the computer. No luck. Still white noise. Opened the HD that had the White samples on it. Navigated to some random White Grand notes, used Panther's preview pane to test them, and all samples played normally. I then created a new EXS instrument, created a new zone, randomly selected a White Grand sample, and it played fine. The only thing I can imagine is that the two EXS White Grand instruments were corrupted on the DVDs you sent me. If you believe that is the case, the simple solution is to send me a fresh copy of the two EXS White Grand instrumnents (obviously not the samples). Since the files are just over a meg, my email client will probably not allow them, so I've given you a folder on my website to upload them to. Use Fetch or a similar FTP program enter the following exactly as typed here (no caps) Host: rampagemusic.net Username: per@... Password: larsson Ignore the folder in there and just drop the two files into the main directory that the program takes you to. Please stuff them in a binhex mode to prevent any internet corruption. If you think they aren't corrupted and there is something else going on, please let me know. I hate when these things happen. I was so anxious to start using it tonight!
