EXS 24 Logic Sampler Users Group

It all started when I converted some old Logic songs to use EXS24 
instruments and sadly I found that the old expression ( cc=11 ) 
controllers no longer worked with EXS24 instuments. Bummer.
So I got to thinking maybe I could slide the level slider down 
instead. This is the slider just to the right of the middle filter 
area. But I couldn't get it to work.
So I tried recording moving down the slider, sure enough it recorded 
controller = 97 and the sound went down, great.
Then I tried to replay it and the slider didn't move one little bit 
nor did the sound go down. 
Can someone else try this please and confirm whether it is me or it 
just doesn't work. The slider on the far left CC=74 I think from 
memory works OK but not 96 or 97.
