Well, actually the EXS is way more flexible in terms of sidechaining as the
sidechains shows up as a modulation source, so you can trigger whatever you
like, using it.
Not that I'm using it that much, but perhaps a loop triggering cutoff
frequency would be some idea - that way your EXS patch would just follow the
loop's accents.
