Thanks Sascha. :-)

I almost answered you without checking. Being a bit of an environment
mad scientist I'm usually very aware of exactly what MIDI data's
happening and where and why.

But because something was obviously wrong, I did check, and found that
the supposed aftertouch from my supposedly trustly ol' Yamaha KX88 had
somehow mutated into CC67 with a constant value of 0!

Didn't know it was possible; don't know whether it's a hitherto unknown
and accidentally activated feature, or a fault.

Anyway, I reset the thing. Aftertouch is now aftertouch again, and the
ESX24's volume doesn't jump to 0 any more. Not that I thought it
should've done so in response to CC67, so I checked that too.

Second surprize! At the risk of sounding totally naive, CC67 *does*
control the EXS24's volume.

[Shakes his head in amazement, mumbling to himself "Gawd, I'd better go
an' study some owner's manuals..."]

Thanks again, Sascha! :-)
