EXS 24 Logic Sampler Users Group

I'm a little bit new to logic (vers. 6 pro).  I've had good 
luck with figuring it out from the manuals and the online help, but there's something I 
can't figure out - probably 'cause i can't think of the right search words - but... 

When I am loading a gigasampler instrument into my exs24 - it wants 
to put the sound files on my internal drive.  I've aliased an external drive and put 
it into the sample insturments folder, but then it seems to be putting the actual wav 
files in folder in the root of the logic appliation folder.  Not a good thing due to lots of 
samples and not so lots of drive space.  What is the solution for redirecting these files?
