EXS 24 Logic Sampler Users Group

Hi everyone,

I just joined the ranks of EXS-24 owners.  However, I have a small problem.
I cannot authorize it.  I have installed it with the latest version of LAWP.
I then select it in the Audio Instrument strip (in the new hierarchical
menu) and it prompts me to authorize.  I put the CD in and, after displaying
a title bar saying that it is checking the CD drive, it asks me again.
Thinking that I may have it in the wrong CD drive (I have a SCSI CD Burner
as well), I put it in the other drive.  I then get the hourglass (no title
bar saying that it is checking the CD) and it just hangs.  It will sit there
for a long time apparently doing nothing.  Is this normal?  Do I need to
wait for an indefinite amount of time for it to authorize?  Is something
wrong?

p.s. - I used aspichk and it indicated that I have ASPI layer 4.60.  This is
the latest that I could find from Adaptec's website.
