First you need to activate "Trigger on" from the view menu of the EXS
editor. You will then see a pulldown with trigger options for "Key Down" and
"Key Release"

It's a nice thing in case you have separate samples for releases. Not too
much work either. But it's defenitely becoming quite tedious once you plan
to use the same zones. You'd need to copy them and adjust ALL their
anchors/startpoints to start at the release part of the samples.

In case you need such things more often I'd think about Kontakt.
