OK, I think everyone answering is focused on the "live gig" concept.  
That's not what I meant.  Barring all of the crashes and lugging a 
monitor to a gig, I meant to ask: can I play it live (in my studio) 
and not be distracted by the latency???  Specific examples with the 
2408 and G4 would be great...

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
