I started on the PC and have switched to a Mac. I thought that the dongle at version 4.x was either a serial dongle (PC) or an ADB dongle (Mac). Perhaps my memory is fuzzy on that though. I was on a PC at the time so I was using a serial port dongle. I thought that the first USB dongle *was* the XSKey. > I've tried to install the software, but it's looking for another disk > - I assume a floppy of some kind. > > Anyone know what's going on? I believe that version 4 required a floppy disk updater to install the program. (At least I remember mine coming with one). I'm on version 7 now and have long since thrown out that floppy disk since it was useless to me after the XSKey came into effect. You may need it before you can actually run it. If your Mac still runs OS 9 you may still want to run OS 9 for Logic. From your post, I don't know if you upgraded to a newer Mac (and can only run OS X) or if you upgraded your OS to OS X.
